Community Builder's Club

BMO

Independent Living Canada is pleased to announce BMO Financial Group as a Community Builder Partner.  Since January, 2009 Independent Living Canada and BMO Financial Group have been working together to promote awareness of the Government of Canada’s new Registered Disability Savings Plan Program.

BMO Financial Group sponsored the 2009 annual Executive Director’s Forum and RDSP training event.  IL Canada and IL Centres were thrilled with the sponsorship and opportunity to meet in Ottawa to learn more about the RDSP program and to strategize on how we could inform Canadians with disabilities and their families on the generous grants and bonds available from the federal government and the benefits of a long term savings plan.

Since then, BMO and a number of the Ontario IL Centres piloted a number of plain language workshops.  BMO also helped to sponsor IL Canada’s Annual General Meeting’s Reception in Toronto in October, 2009.

Independent Living Canada welcomes BMO Financial Group to the Independent Living family!
