This online checklist, created for those in the travel industry to use when making bookings for travelers with disabilities, can be used by individuals as a helpful guide when planning their own travel and requesting accessible services. Items on the checklist include: mobility aids, seating requirements, available transportation at destinations, attendant care etc.
Travelers with disabilities may also want to share this resource with the travel industry to ensure those booking travel are aware of accessibility issues and actively incorporate this information into their services.

This website is a database of accessible holiday home exchanges. People with disabilities can swap houses with other people with disabilities who have the same accessibility needs when they are on holiday. Membership is free while the database is being developed, but it will eventually be £25 for one year. The site is available in English at this time, but translators may be available to help with arranging house swaps in chat room meetings, via email or teleconference calls.
Passenger Terminal Accessibility
Code of Practice: Passenger Terminal Accessibility
The purpose of this Code is to provide a minimum level of accessibility for passenger terminals across Canada and to further improve the accessibility of terminals for persons with disabilities as they use the federal transportation system.
Guide for Passenger Terminal Accessibility
The guide provides references to resources that can be used to help terminal operators find ways to become more accessible. "Best Practices" are also included to highlight examples of various organizations or businesses that provide excellent accessibility features or services for persons with disabilities, or effective practices.
